We would ask the following:
If your son is ill and going to be absent
Please contact the school as soon as possible and
inform reception. You will be asked for your son's
name, his form and the nature of the illness.
There is an absence report line: (01727) 754101
Please leave a message informing us of your son's
name, form and reason for absence.
Holiday Absence
If you know of a holiday absence we ask that you
put this into writing to the Headmaster, Mr D P Kellaway. The school are obliged by law to grant
up to 10 days holiday leave per year but only on
receipt of a valid letter of request.
Change of Address/Telephone Number
If you move or change your telephone number, or for
that matter change job, please let the school know.
In case of emergency it is important that we can contact
someone
Reception is currently manned between
the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
All Heads of Department and Heads of
Year have voice mail. If the receptionist cannot gain
a verbal response from a member of staff you will
be asked if you would like to leave a message on the
staff members voice mail. Staff generally check their
voice mail daily and are asked to return your call
within 48 hours*.
For those members of staff who do not
have access to voice mail a message will be placed,
by the receptionist, in a names pigeon hole. They
are asked to respond to all calls within 48 hours.
*Please note: anything
electronic can have a tendency to occasionally go
wrong. If a call is not returned there is a chance
that the message did not get saved. Please try again.
